The Payroll Administrator will be responsible for the accuracy of the day-to-day aspects of payroll processing and administration.
Key priorities
- Process payroll accurately and on time, including leave management and reporting.
- Maintain data integrity through quality control and accurate record-keeping.
- Deliver excellent service while fostering teamwork and strong business relationships.
- Support payroll process improvements and efficiency initiatives.
- Ensure compliance with wage adjustments, deductions, and terminations.
- Identify and report risks while ensuring adherence to safety policies.
- Promote a strong risk culture within the team and organization.
- Drive operational improvements while upholding company values and culture.
About you
Experience & Knowledge:
- 1+ years of payroll experience.
- Progress towards or completion of a relevant payroll qualification (Desirable).
- Familiarity with commission/performance-based payroll.
- Knowledge of Australian employment legislation (tax, superannuation, leave entitlements).
- Proficiency in payroll systems (ideally Chris21), MS Office, and the ability to learn new software.
- Understanding of Industrial Acts, Superannuation Legislation, Awards, and Agreements.
- High integrity and confidentiality.
- Strong interpersonal and written communication skills.
- Attention to detail, initiative, and analytical ability.
