About the Company

The organisation is an aged care village located in the Barossa region. The corporate head office, including this working location would be at Nuriootpa, SA. This is a part-time role working 3 full days a week, on a 4-month contract basis.

About the Job

In this role, you will supervise the current Payroll Officer to provide end-to-end payroll for approximately 250 employees. Payroll is run on a fortnightly basis. You will ensure superior internal customer service by responding to payroll-related queries and effectively processing corrections. In addition, you may assist with setting up new and maintaining existing employee records. You will also be responsible for system management and maintenance, monitoring accurate payments to the staff, and interpreting awards and agreements to facilitate accurate payroll delivery.

About the Manager / Team

This role reports directly to the General Manager of Corporate Services. The incumbent payroll officer is fairly junior in the role, and you will need to coach the current payroll officer and get them up to speed.

Skills & Requirements for the Role

  • Minimum 5 years' payroll experience with payroll skills and award interpretation knowledge.
  • Working experience within the aged care sector is a must.
