Our client is looking for a dedicated Payroll Officer to join their dynamic team. You will be responsible for ensuring operational compliance with internal policies and procedures, legislative and taxation standards, and processing high-volume payroll.
What you'll do:
- Act as the first point of contact for payroll enquiries, providing quality payroll advice and support.
- Prepare and input payroll and human resource information including accurate processing of timesheets, schedules, leave applications, wage classifications and higher duties.
- Process the weekly payment cycle and assist with checking and maintenance of records to ensure accuracy, service quality and data integrity.
- Prepare forms and reports in relation to payroll deductions - for instance Child Support, Centrelink, taxation and related correspondence.
- Ad-hoc duties as required.
What you'll bring:
- Demonstrated experience in end-to-end payroll function in a medium to large organisation.
- Sound knowledge of Industrial Awards and Agreements, relevant legislation governing payroll and superannuation.
- Proven organisational skills with the ability to meet weekly deadlines.
- Strong interpersonal skills with a focus on providing quality customer service.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite of products as well as experience with electronic payroll systems such as Oracle or SAP.
- Ability to work effectively within a team environment.
