About the Role

We are currently looking for an experienced Electrical & Instrumentation Technician to operate and maintain gas facilities and pipelines on a 2:2 roster. In this position, you will have the opportunity to work at the RNCS and around the Roma area. We ideally prefer a candidate to live local and work local, though we are also open to FIFO / DIDO.

You will assist in playing an integral part of the operations and maintenance team. In return for your effort, you will receive fantastic remuneration and will be working on state-of-the-art facilities and pipelines across multiple assets throughout the region.

Key Responsibilities Include

  • Responding to incidents and emergencies
  • Experience in the operation and maintenance of gas engines and reciprocating compressors
  • Operation and maintenance of high-pressure natural gas equipment and gas quality monitoring equipment
  • Maintenance of electronic measurement instruments, valves, and other mechanical equipment associated with gas transmission
  • Patrol and maintenance of the pipeline right of way
  • Liaison work with landholders and public authorities
  • A wide variety of pipeline duties including mechanical work, documentation, and records maintenance
  • Inter/intra state travel required at times

About You

The successful candidate will have a trade qualification (electrical, instrumentation, or equivalent) with proven experience working as a member of an Operations and Maintenance team in the gas transmission or gas processing industry. You will bring the following qualifications, skills, and experience:

  • Driver's license
  • Licensed Electrician, preferably with instrumentation and hazardous area qualifications (only for E&I candidates)
  • High-pressure gas experience (desirable)
  • Gas process plant experience
  • Instrumentation controls and operations exposure
  • Strong computer skills and use of the Microsoft Office Suite
  • A safety-focused attitude
