We're seeking a driven and pragmatic Internal Audit professional to play a key role in shaping the strategic direction of our Technology Audit function. As an experienced expert, you'll leverage your experience to deliver innovative audit solutions that drive strong outcomes and enhance our technology governance and control framework.

This is an opportunity to utilise your extensive technology audit expertise, strategic thinking, and exceptional communication skills to execute our Annual Audit Plan, ensuring our function remains a highly effective and respected assurance and advisory partner.

Your Key Responsibilities:

  • Communicate with clarity and influence: Articulate technology audit findings through persuasive verbal and written reports, ensuring they are contextualised and readily understood by all stakeholders.
  • Provide strategic risk advice: Offer timely, high-quality guidance to key stakeholders on managing current and emerging technology risks within a fast-paced, innovative, and regulated environment.
  • Collaborate for success: Work seamlessly with our various departments to achieve shared objectives across technical, technology assurance, and business audit activities spanning across RACQ's diverse functions (Assistance, Insurance, Bank, and Group).
  • Build strong relationships: Cultivate and maintain effective, collaborative, and trusted partnerships with business leaders, technology management, and our co-source providers.

What You'll Bring:

  • 5-7 years of relevant experience in internal/external audit, technology audit/assurance, IT risk, compliance, in a regulated environment.
  • Experience in conducting technology audits that provided value and insight to effectively manage technology risks, including a practical understanding of IT governance frameworks.
  • Demonstrated success in engaging, influencing, negotiating, and collaborating with senior stakeholders in a complex, multi-disciplinary setting.
  • Exceptional report writing skills, tailored for Executive Management.
  • Strong initiative, self-motivation, and a proven ability to think critically, solve problems creatively, and thrive in a dynamic environment.
  • Adept at understanding, documenting, and analysing complex technical information, structures, processes, and concepts within a regulated environment to identify meaningful audit observations, root causes, and provide insightful, risk-based recommendations.
  • Experience auditing cloud computing, cyber security, data governance, and IT general controls. Experience in auditing AI will be beneficial.
  • Knowledge and application of relevant IT and information security standards and frameworks.
