Let us talk about the team:
We are looking for an experienced Semantic Data Architect with deep expertise in semantic data modeling techniques and knowledge representation in the Semantic Web. This role requires strong experience with RDF/OWL, SHACL ontology rules, SKOS vocabulary frameworks, and open linked data mechanisms. You will be responsible for creating, managing, and governing ontologies, vocabularies, and semantic knowledge graph platforms, collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure successful implementation.
Responsibilities:

  • Lead the uplift of data management practices within the organization, providing thought leadership and expertise.
  • Guide the development of Semantic Ontologies and the use of ontology query languages.
  • Define and implement standards, guidelines, and procedures for ontology design and maintenance.
  • Recommend and implement semantic technologies and tools to ensure data integration, transformation, and scalability, in alignment with industry best practices.
  • Identify and implement use cases that deliver business value through semantic data modeling.
  • Prepare training materials, assist in training, and advise on the practical implementation of semantic ontologies.
  • Stay at the forefront of emerging industry trends and technologies, incorporating them into the organization's semantic data strategy.
  • Collaborate with business stakeholders to understand data requirements and translate them into comprehensive semantic ontologies.
  • Develop semantic ontologies that enable data integration and interoperability across systems and platforms.
  • Validate ontologies to ensure they meet business requirements and support AI and ML initiatives.
  • Design and maintain ontologies, taxonomies, and vocabularies to standardize data representation across the organization.
  • Conduct regular assessments and audits of semantic ontologies, identifying opportunities for optimization and improvement.
  • Provide guidance to teams working on data integration projects, ensuring adherence to semantic data modeling principles.
  • Integrate relevant innovations in semantic web technologies into the organization's data model framework.
Qualifications & Soft Skills:
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Management Information Systems, Computer Science, Computer Information Systems, or a related field.
  • In-depth knowledge of semantic web technologies, including RDF, OWL, SHACL, SKOS, and other relevant standards.
  • Proven experience in semantic ontology development and data integration within complex organizational environments.
  • Proficiency in tools for managing and governing ontologies, vocabularies, and semantic knowledge graph platforms.
  • Strong analytical skills, with the ability to translate complex business requirements into semantic data structures.
  • Familiarity with data management systems, databases, and data governance principles.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with stakeholders across various levels of the organization.
  • Thorough understanding of modeling methodologies and procedures.
  • Experience in the Finance and Banking industries is preferred.
  • AI/ML experience is a plus.
