Purpose of the Job
The Senior Account Manager (SAM) is responsible for ensuring that services to the customer are delivered to specification according to the overarching contract SLAs. The SAM will be expected to have significant client and supplier contact, working with the Account Director to take the lead role in projects and campaign management. The SAM will have technical experience in the creation, specification, and production of luxury packaging, 3-dimensional POS, and displays in temporary and/or permanent/semi-permanent solutions, in addition to managing campaigns, print, premiums, and standard POS.
This position can be based in either Melbourne, Sydney, Hong Kong, or China.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop key relationships with the extended Marketing team, building and maintaining healthy long-term partnerships.
- Prepare commercial costing and timelines. Track project milestones, identifying and managing risks and potential issues in line with company best practices, using the appropriate tools and technology available; ability to be agile and adapt to changing priorities, adjusting plans as required.
- Play a key role in the development process, offering the client creative and technical solutions to any problems encountered.
- Collaborate with internal teams to ensure that standards, processes, and agreed SLAs are adhered to throughout the project lifecycle.
- Identify opportunities by staying on top of industry trends, segment activities, and the competitive landscape.
- Prepare and present sales data (e.g., monthly sales results and annual forecasts).
- Deliver services on time, to specification, to a high quality, and to contractual targets.
- Produce detailed specifications for internal and external clients; high attention to detail is a must!
- Maintain a full understanding of the broad range of HHG's services, identify opportunities, and implement new services that complement the client's business.
- Identify opportunities for continuous improvement and implement new methods and procedures as required.
- Work with clients to encourage sustainable solutions, balancing economic and environmental savings and supporting the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals.
Knowledge, Skills + Experience
- Experience in the development and manufacture of luxury and/or promotional packaging, or related added value printed items, is essential.
- Demonstrable professional experience managing packaging projects across a range of substrates/materials and product categories.
- Developing and driving packaging innovation (formats, materials, finishes) in collaboration with the client, internal teams, and the supply base.
- Experience in print management and third-party manufacturing, including off-shore, would be a plus.
- Experience working with Industrial/Graphic Design teams to deliver innovative and technical solutions is highly desired.
- Ability to work independently and remotely when not on-site with clients or suppliers.
- Works collaboratively with others in pursuit of team goals.
- Comfortable analyzing and interpreting data and conversations on client reports.
- Identifies and acts on growth opportunities within the client account to build scale and scope.
- Takes a logical and systematic approach to work.
- Takes a flexible approach to work and encourages others to do so.
- Account management experience, working within a contracted environment to strict SLAs (service level agreements) and KPIs (key performance indicators).
- Able to manage and communicate with key client stakeholders to successfully deliver and exceed their expectations.
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office.
- Comfortable in client meetings to become an extension of the client team, interacting and providing high levels of comfort to the client on campaign management.
