Kmart are modernising and optimising our end-to-end supply chain systems and operations to enhance efficiency, reduce costs, deliver a safer working environment for our team and faster delivery of products that delight our customers to nearly 500 stores throughout Australia and New Zealand.
We are creating the next generation of retail supply chain technology with a focus across our warehouse management, transport/logistics, inventory optimisation, and demand and forecasting systems.
As a Senior Business Analyst, you will play a critical role in requirement elicitation, analysis, and process reengineering. Your expertise will guide our teams in delivering high-quality solutions that align with our business goals. You will thrive in a fast-paced environment and help shape the future of our technological landscape.
What you'll be doing?
- Utilise requirement elicitation techniques such as discovery workshops, brainstorming, and prototyping to gather and refine business requirements.
- Conduct comprehensive analyses, including AS-IS, TO-BE, GAP analysis, feasibility assessments, opportunity evaluations, and cost-benefit analysis.
- Perform data analysis and mapping as part of Integration/Interface solution delivery.
- Apply both Agile and Waterfall software delivery methods to ensure successful project execution.
- Leverage documentation tools such as Jira and Confluence, and presentation/collaboration tools like Miro, Draw.io, Visio, and MS PowerPoint.
- Drive process reengineering initiatives primarily in Supply Chain.
- Deliver complex enterprise-scale projects using Agile methodologies, ensuring alignment with business objectives.
- Stay current with emerging technology trends and their potential business impacts.
- Manage the requirements lifecycle proficiently, ensuring clarity and completeness.
- Utilize Agile BA techniques such as story mapping, user story-epic mapping, and the INVEST criteria.
- Understand the software development lifecycle and quality processes, applying them effectively to projects.
To be successful in the role you'll have:
- At least 7 years of experience as a Business Analyst, particularly in IT projects.
- Strong Supply Chain Domain knowledge and experience (WMS, TMS) is a must.
- Experience with integration or interface solution delivery, and knowledge of AWS or other cloud technologies.
- Proven experience in delivering complex enterprise-scale projects, preferably using Agile methods.
- Tech-savvy, with a strong understanding of current and emerging technological trends.
- Ability to thrive in a constantly changing and fast-paced work environment.
- Possess data skills, including data flow analysis and data analysis capabilities.
- Proficient in Agile tools like Jira and Confluence.
