About the Role

The Senior Business Analyst - Trade Surveillance will be part of the Trade Surveillance Transformation Project Team and will assist the Market Surveillance, Trade Control, and Market Risk functions in designing, developing, testing & deploying controls. The role is responsible for ensuring the controls are fit-for-purpose and to provide the project and technology development teams with business requirements upon reaching a production end state.

Role Type: 12 Month Fixed Term Contract/Secondment, Full-time

What will your day look like?

In this role, you will:

  1. Work effectively with internal customers to build and maintain appropriate controls across conduct and financial risks.
  2. Co-ordinate and work with internal & external stakeholders/vendors, Project Business Analysts, and Business control owners, technology development & projects teams to ensure timely completion of tasks/projects.
  3. Be self-directed, with the ability to proactively identify and analyse problems, and propose viable solutions.
  4. Collaborate with various ANZ businesses and our vendor to perform business process, systems and gap analysis, identify and capture detailed business requirements, conduct impact and risk assessments and support any co-ordination internally of migration activities.
  5. Own the project's change management streams and liaise widely across the bank to ensure the program meets all internal project delivery and change governance requirements.
  6. Collaborate with a wide range of stakeholders to ensure all business and customer impacts have been considered, document and communicate these widely, and bring your problem-solving and analytical mindset to help the bank support best practice delivery of analysed requirements and change management.
  7. Organise and support change and implementation activities to ensure all impacted teams and roles are trained, equipped and ready to absorb and manage the change, verify and validate what is in production (especially after changes).
  8. Assist in developing business testing strategy and plans across multiple business units with the support of the Product Owner and squad, and co-ordinate/execute on these wide-scale test and regression plans.
What will you bring?

To grow and be successful in this role, you will ideally bring the following:

  1. Deep understanding of trading activity, with extensive prior experience in trade surveillance, trading or risk management.
  2. Strong knowledge of Murex and other Markets Trade Capture systems.
  3. Documenting functional requirements, business control requirements, and process and workflow mapping skills (MS Visio or equivalent).
  4. Strong communication/presentation skills and be highly experienced in preparing and conducting workshops, eliciting, documenting and managing requirements using a broad range of innovative elicitation practices/techniques.
  5. Must have strong self-awareness, team-oriented approach to problem-solving and an ability to work in a fast-paced, rapidly changing environment preferably with some international experience.
  6. Have a record of delivering on time and budget with different project delivery methodologies and internal governance frameworks with some experience in Agile delivery, displaying initiative with a demonstrated ability to manage time & priorities in a fast-paced delivery environment.
  7. Strong quantitative skillset - data analysis and insights, reporting.
