Senior Business Analyst Product Delivery (Unite)

How will I help?

This role within the CTB LOB Unite delivery village focuses on detailed analysis and requirement elicitation under Westpac's . As a Senior Business Analyst your role will be critical in UNITES delivery and engaging with stakeholders to elicit, analyse, communicate, and validate requirements for changes to business products, processes, policies, information, data, and systems.

Key Responsibilities

  • Navigate and resolve conflicts in collaborative activities, ensuring alignment with shared goals and joint responsibility, while providing strategic direction.
  • Engage stakeholders to deeply understand and assess complex problems, recommending and gaining acceptance for optimal solutions.
  • Develop, plan, and execute activities to achieve strategic outcomes, re-prioritizing as needed, and implementing advanced risk mitigation strategies.
  • Collaborate to solve critical business problems, demonstrating a strategic understanding of business systems.
  • Perform detailed gap analysis between current and future states, recommending high-value approaches.
  • Use data analysis techniques to aid in requirements analysis, ensuring requirements support target business value and align with business cases.
  • Adapt requirements management templates and processes to fit complex situations.
  • Define innovative design options to improve the business and achieve desired future states.
  • Ensure that risks (project and operations) are identified, raised, and managed in accordance with established risk frameworks, including governance and escalation frameworks.

What do I need?

  • Demonstrated analytical mindset with the capability to anticipate and strategically plan ahead.
  • Logical thinker with the ability to approach complex problems methodically and develop practical, high-impact solutions.
  • Self-starter with strong independent work capabilities, complemented by excellent collaboration and communication skills for effective teamwork.
  • In-depth knowledge of project management disciplines, including advanced methodologies and best practices.
  • Strong understanding of technology and business systems, both strategically and operationally, to drive business value and innovation.
  • Experience as a senior business analyst in large, complex project delivery or tertiary qualifications.
  • Experience with product simplification, core banking systems, and deposit products.
