With a focus on Mid-Market, we are looking for an experienced Senior National Business Development Manager (BDM) to join our team in Sydney. As a BDM you will be based at the Optus head office and primarily responsible for working with the Optus Business Centres (OBC) nationally to identify, develop, and close new business opportunities with the OBC teams.
The role will be responsible for attracting new customers and retaining existing ones to increase the number of Optus Business Centre Net Adds. This role focuses on driving growth in the Mid-Market Segment, targeting organisations with 20-500 employees. The position is nationwide and not affiliated with any one territory.
Key Responsibilities - Collaborate with the 26 business centres, the Partner Sales Manager, and the Solutions Consultant to achieve comprehensive sales results and expand market reach.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with partners, serving as the primary point of contact for sales-related inquiries and support for major customers.
- Meet business targets such as new gross ads in mobiles, mobile broadband, fixed voice/data, IoT and ICT solutions.
- Provide customers with a unique experience and engage with senior executives from various organisations.
- Lead and shape the sales strategy for partners, working with them to achieve the best results and targeting the most valuable customers across the country.
- Develop and execute a sales plan that will enable a constantly renewed and updated opportunity pipeline.
- Coach sales teams to identify, pursue, and close high-value deals through a strong understanding of the territory and best practice approaches.
Why you are our next Senior BDM - Demonstrated ability to position and present at a senior stakeholder including the C-suite.
- Proven ability to manage large, complex whole of business IT and Telecommunications solutions with a consultative sales experience and approach.
- Demonstrated ability to manage the sales process and pipeline.
- Demonstrated skills in negotiation, organisation, and time management.
- Extensive Senior Business Development experience.
- Commercially astute with a sound understanding of business drivers.
- Proven sales track record in achieving growth through acquisition strategies and sales teams.
- Strong presentation skills, both written and verbal, to internal and external senior stakeholders.
- Solid product and industry knowledge.
