This is a new role in the Optus legal team and sits in Property Division within Optus Networks. This division has responsibility within the Optus Networks executive and will collaborate with the highly expert property specialists, and external legal providers.
The portfolio includes leasehold and freehold property holdings, carpark licenses/agreements, subleased space both internally and externally and all associated Landlord and legal services.
Your day in the life of a Senior Corporate Counsel, Property at Optus
- Responsible for handling all property legal documentation as well as driving resolution of legal matters.
- Simultaneously manage transactions and properties of high values and drive to deliver exceptional outcomes aligned with the Optus Property Strategy.
- Work with the Optus Networks executive team, the highly experienced property specialists, and external legal providers.
- Provide strategic guidance on property legal related matters.
Your skills to pay the bills
- Outstanding property law skills.
- Experience in a similar role where law in business is being managed and handled in a proper manner.
- The ability to collaborate in a team environment as well as work autonomously.
- Provide all necessary legal support to ensure compliance with legal requirements.
- Negotiating, reviewing and executing lease agreements, ensuring compliance with Optus policies and legal requirements.
- Excellent track record of leadership.
