About the Role
Lead workplace relations compliance initiatives in line with the evolving employment law and industrial landscape within which Life Without Barriers (LWB) operates. You will be a key leader in a team of highly experienced and talented Employee Relations professionals. This is a permanent full-time role, location flexible.
Key Responsibilities
- Partner with colleagues across LWB to implement, monitor and manage systems, processes, policies and tools directed at systematic and efficient implementation of legal and industrial requirements.
- Represent LWB in the Fair Work Commission and other employment tribunals.
- Interpret and advise on the application of workplace laws, modern awards and industrial agreements.
- Proactively monitor for legislative and industrial instrument developments and provide practical advice regarding implementation.
- Lead initiatives and projects to ensure the continuous improvement of our compliance frameworks.
Skills & Experience
- Relevant tertiary qualification in Law, Industrial Relations, Human Resources or similar.
- Extensive experience in Legal, Employee / Industrial Relations and/or Human Resources roles.
- Advocacy experience in the Fair Work Commission and/or other employment tribunals.
- Demonstrated experience in the interpretation and application of industrial instruments, workplace legislation and case law to stakeholders.
- The ability to influence and work collaboratively with a range of stakeholders internally and externally.
- Experience working in a fluid and changing environment.
Successful candidates will be required to clear probity checks including National Criminal History Record Check.
