The Role

A Senior Lecturer is expected to have developed a strong clinical specialist focus, evidenced by specialist college accreditation status and clinical discipline publications. This position makes a significant contribution to the teaching effort of the School through the preparation and delivery of lectures and tutorials, program coordination, and supervision of Honours and postgraduate students. Academic staff at this level will also be involved in a broad range of administrative and service functions in the School and across the University, and professional activities within the discipline.

An Associate Professor position is expected to have a record of academic excellence with high quality research that has national and/or international impact. A commitment and capacity to attract external research funding is also expected. An Associate Professor makes a considerable contribution to the University's postgraduate supervision and is expected to play a leadership role in University administration. This position makes a substantial contribution to all teaching activities within the School, as well as a substantial contribution to the College and profession.

What you'll bring to this role

  • A veterinary degree registrable by the Veterinary Practise Board of Western Australia, and board certification in Veterinary Diagnostic Imaging (ECVDI/ACVR/FANZCVS).
  • Extensive, substantial experience in teaching Veterinary Diagnostic Imaging at the undergraduate and postgraduate level.
  • Demonstrated recent experience in applied clinical and didactic teaching at undergraduate and postgraduate levels.
