Job Description
Define business requirements, the scope of solutions, develop specifications, select vendors, and oversee successful delivery. Regularly interface with senior management, VF brand personnel, cross functional leaders, vendors, and customers to establish project priorities, resolve issues, and deliver value to our customers. Prepare and provide regional reports on all KPIs and metrics related to LMS, Incentives, site performance (productivity), and Continuous Improvement initiatives. Lead and develop a team of Sr. Distribution Engineers and Distribution Engineers to assist VF NORA operations in delivering the best order quality at the lowest cost through superior implantation of automation systems, facilities, methods, and equipment. Manage, direct, and control the activities of multiple teams within the NORA DC network and facilities organization to include staffing alignment and project requirements. Manage the overall process as project lead in the design, engineering, and the deployment of new automation solutions. Evaluate emerging technologies and make strategic technology recommendations. Full time employment, Monday Friday, 40 hours per week, $146,640.00 per year. MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS: Bachelors degree in an Engineering discipline or related field, and 5 years of progressive, post-baccalaureate related work experience. Of the required experience, must have 5 years of experience in each of the following: Industrial engineering: process flows and building layouts; Continuous Improvement (CI): lean methodologies and problem solving; Distribution Center systems and processes: Manhattan PKMS Warehouse Management System (WMS); Labor Management: time studies, labor standards, and incentive programs; and Project management. Must have 4 years of experience in High automation: Goods To Person (GTP). Domestic travel required up to 30% to visit other facilities and vendors, and attend business-related meetings.
