About you
We are looking for a detail-oriented Senior Payroll Officer to join our team on a full-time basis at our St Kilda Road office. In this role, you will collaborate closely with the Payroll Manager to ensure the seamless operation of payroll systems, accurate and timely payroll processing, and provide support on various payroll-related projects as needed.
The key responsibilities of this role are:
- Previous experience using PayGlobal software (highly desirable).
- High level of accuracy and attention to detail, ensuring that staff are paid correctly.
- Support the Payroll Manager in maintaining efficient payroll systems and processes.
- Accurately process fortnightly payroll, including data entry, leave, and termination calculations.
- Assist in the preparation of End of Month and Year-End reports and requirements.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Proven ability to build strong relationships, act as a team lead when needed, and support team development while managing day-to-day operations.
- Strong client-focused approach with the ability to problem solve, identify appropriate corrective action, and advise staff.
- Proven experience in payroll interpretation of EBA's and workplace agreements.
To be successful in this role you will have:
- Previous experience in payroll processing and payroll systems such as PayGlobal software.
- Experience working in Aged Care/Disability sector (highly desirable).
- Stakeholder management and communications.
- Understanding of payroll legislation, tax requirements, and reporting obligations.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Proven proficiency in the use and application of Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
