About the role
We are seeking a Senior Software Engineer (Automation) passionate about managing the development and maintenance of diverse software systems at UNSW College. Success in this role requires being a collaborative team player who enjoys engaging with stakeholders across the Education business unit to gather feedback on system performance and identify areas for improvement.
Key responsibilities will include (but not be limited to):
- Help set technology directions for design, automation, integration, testing and deployment in line with UNSW College's business technology needs and priorities.
- Lead the requirements gathering and engineering, architecture and design of enhancements to existing and new system automation development efforts.
- Guide and mentor software engineers in the use of existing and new automation technologies and software automation development processes including carrying out automation development work as required.
- Effectively and efficiently manage the software automation development processes in accordance with recognised quality standards and guidelines.
The successful applicant will have (but not limited to):
- Extensive hands-on experience with Automation Anywhere's Robotic Process Automation (RPA) platform, including designing and implementing bots for automating business processes.
- Proficiency in test automation and management tools (e.g., TestRail, Zephyr, Xray), with the ability to support and maintain existing solutions.
- A deep understanding of Power Automate, including experience in creating, managing, and troubleshooting automated workflows.
- Experience with Power Apps for custom applications and Power BI for reporting and data analytics.
