A rewarding opportunity exists for a Senior Solicitor (VPSG 5) within the Legal Services team at Integrity Oversight Victoria (IOV). IOV is the lead oversight body in Victoria's integrity system, providing oversight of the Independent Broad-based Anti-Corruption Commission (IBAC) and other integrity, accountability and investigatory bodies and their officers. Integrity Oversight Victoria also plays a key role in Victoria's public interest disclosure scheme.
The position is a 2-year fixed term position.
Job Overview
Reporting to the Manager, Legal Services, the Senior Solicitor provides authoritative legal advice and services, including supporting investigations, undertaking comprehensive legal research and providing advice on operational matters and policy to executive management to support the organisation's oversight of the Victorian integrity system.
While some working from home can be accommodated, the role does require regular attendance in the office to access secure and sensitive material.
