Job Description We are seeking a Sewing Volunteer who can assist with minor clothing repairs of residents' clothing, including replacing buttons, adjusting hems, and minor mending and clothing modifications.
The Sewing Volunteer will carry out the tasks within one of the cottages onsite to add to the home-like environment and enable residents to engage with familiar household tasks. The volunteer is encouraged to invite residents to participate and/or be a part of the activity in whichever way they choose, to foster a sense of dignity and personal satisfaction.

HammondCare is a provider of The Aged Care Volunteer Visitor Scheme funded by the Australian Government and is established to promote links between elderly people and volunteers in their local community.
Requirements We'd be happy to discuss a suitable time during the week for a visit between 9am and 6pm Monday to Sunday; visits could be weekly to fortnightly depending on your availability.
