The Business

The Role

GNI are seeking experienced Administrator to support the SHEQ Manager in ensuring compliance with safety, health, environmental, and quality standards. This position will be on a 3:1 Roster across various projects in WA.

This role involves maintaining records, preparing reports, and assisting in the implementation of SHEQ policies and procedures.

Reporting directly to the SHEQ Manager, the SHEQ Administrator will be responsible for:

  • Documentation and Record Keeping: Maintain and update SHEQ documentation, including policies, procedures, and training records.
  • Ensure all SHEQ records are accurate, up-to-date, and easily accessible.
  • Compliance and Audits: Assist in the preparation and coordination of internal and external audits.
  • Monitor compliance with SHEQ regulations and standards.
  • Report any non-compliance issues to the SHEQ Manager.
  • Training and Development: Coordinate SHEQ training sessions and maintain training records.
  • Assist in the development of training materials and programs.
  • Incident Reporting and Investigation: Record and report SHEQ incidents and near-misses. Assist in the investigation of incidents and the implementation of corrective actions.
  • Communication and Reporting: Prepare and distribute SHEQ reports and communications. Act as a point of contact for SHEQ-related queries and issues.
  • Continuous Improvement: Support the SHEQ Manager in identifying areas for improvement. Participate in SHEQ meetings and contribute to the development of SHEQ initiatives.
  • General ad hoc SHEQ administrative tasks as required.
Qualifications and Skills
  • 3+ years WHS/OHS administration experience
  • Class "C" drivers licence - manual preferred
  • Diploma or degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental Quality Management, or a related field is preferred.
  • Previous experience in a SHEQ role is preferred.
  • Strong organizational and administrative skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Strong problem-solving skills.

  • FMG Inducted desirable but not necessary
  • Myosh background desirable but not necessary
