About the role:
UGL are seeking an experienced SMP Coordinator to join our team on an ongoing basis working on a major Oil & Gas project.
Commencing ASAP, you will be working a 5/2 roster within Perth CBD, point of hire is Perth, WA.
The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in ensuring the successful execution of SMP activities on our upstream and downstream facilities including managing key stakeholders, contractor oversight and worksite production.
Key Responsibilities:
- Major Maintenance Activities - Coordinate key maintenance operations, secure resources, prepare work permits, and oversee the successful completion of tasks.
- Engineering Coordination - Liaise with varied engineering vendors, manage SAP data, material cataloguing, and assure stringent QA/QC in work order executions.
- Communication and Documentation - Foster effective stakeholder interactions, maintain updated engineering drawings and engage in risk assessments.
- Stakeholder and Contractor Oversight - Track contractor performance, define operations changes, and evaluate contractors' resource allocations and schedules.
- Site and Operations Management - Collaborate for maximum site productivity, support design teams in constructability, and align contractor plans with permit procedures.
- Control of work oversight - Identify and resolve gaps in CoW, align permit-to-work protocols with execution plans.
About you:
- Mechanical Trade Certificate, Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, or a related field. A Master's degree or relevant certifications is a plus.
- Proven experience in a co-ordinator / lead role, ideally within the Oil & Gas sector as a main contractor performing SMP scope.
- Strong understanding of SMP project management.
- Exceptional negotiation, leadership, and communication skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.
- Familiarity with relevant software tools and systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, or similar).
