Job Description

Are you a passionate Software Test Engineer with expertise in test automation, Windows, Linux, and battle management systems? As a Software Test Engineer, you will play a key role in ensuring the quality and reliability of complex software systems, which are critical to supporting defence and military operations.

In this role, you'll be responsible for designing, developing, and executing automated test scripts, performing rigorous testing on a variety of platforms, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure systems meet the highest standards of performance, security, and functionality. Your experience with battle management software will be highly valued as you contribute to the development of systems that help ensure mission success for defence and military personnel.

All applicants MUST HAVE NV1 OR BASELINE security cleared to be eligible for this position.

Experience:

  • Software Test Engineer (ENG1/2 level, depending on experience).
  • Experienced in managing all Software verification and validation activities.
  • Skilled in Behaviour Driven and Test Driven development.
  • Experience testing Software on both Windows and Linux.
  • Desirable: Experience testing Software with strong Security, Safety, and Human Factor requirements.
  • Desirable: Experience building Test Automation Frameworks.
  • Desirable: Experience with battle management systems.

Requirements:

  • Must be an Australian Citizen and eligible for an Australian Government security clearance (minimum of NV1 clearance level).
  • Undertake National Police History Check.
