The Company
Our client is a leader in education and undergoing a major cloud journey. They are seeking a Solution Architect in an ongoing contract role to help bridge the gap between high-level problem statements and practical, implementable solutions. This is an exciting opportunity in the education sector to really make a difference within a tenured, collaborative team.

The Role

Key responsibilities:

  • Create detailed solution blueprints that align with overall enterprise architecture and domain principles.
  • Facilitate comprehensive work planning for solution delivery, including sequencing of solution components, associated timelines, resource/skillset requirements, and risk mitigation strategies.
  • Lead or closely collaborate with engineering & vendor teams to ensure successful solution delivery.
  • Interface with functional and operational teams to gather problem context and operational requirements.
  • Collaborate closely with business architecture to ensure solutions fulfill business needs.
  • Translate technical concepts into clear, understandable language for non-technical stakeholders.
  • Evaluate and recommend appropriate tools, frameworks, and technologies for solution implementation.
  • Create and maintain comprehensive solution architecture documentation.
About You

To be successful in this role you will need:

  • 3-5 years of experience in solution architecture or similar roles, preferably in an educational or non-profit setting.
  • Understanding of enterprise architecture principles and frameworks (e.g., TOGAF).
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to translate complex problems into actionable solutions.
  • Proven experience in solution management and team leadership.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively engage with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Knowledge of current and emerging technologies relevant to K-12 education. (Preferred)
