The role

The Specialist Consultant - Industrial Relations will partner and support the business to deliver on its strategic priorities. This role will manage a portfolio of enterprise agreements across Origin's business, acting as a lead negotiator and strategist. You will work with the business to develop bargaining strategies which balance commercial outcomes, compliance requirements and align to Origin's long term IR plan. Further responsibilities include:

  • Contributing to Origin's growth plans by supporting Origin's mergers and acquisitions activity.
  • Providing leaders with commercially savvy IR advice.
  • Supporting the delivery of organisational restructuring activities.
  • Providing coaching and training to business leaders and other key stakeholders as required.
  • People leadership and development of more junior members of the IR team.
  • Working on key IR strategy and compliance initiatives and other key projects.
  • Working closely with the payroll and IT teams to ensure enterprise agreements are implemented accurately and in a timely manner.
  • Managing union relationships and IR disputation.

About you

You will be able to demonstrate a minimum of 8 years' experience in IR roles. You will have prior experience:

  • Working in complex private sector industrial and unionised environments.
  • Planning and leading enterprise bargaining.
  • Supporting mergers and acquisitions activity.
