Our senior clinicians at Footscray Hospital are going through a baby boom and we are excited to have another Grade 3 role available!

Come and join our dynamic and skilled acute team, providing high-quality care to patients in Melbourne's west. We are looking for a senior clinician to lead our team in acute service delivery, including ICU. As an integral member of the leadership team, you will promote creativity, team effectiveness and evidence-based patient care.

Opportunities include:

  1. Optimising acute service delivery for a patient cohort with high clinical complexity and acuity
  2. Leading and developing others
  3. Developing (or consolidating existing) skills in FEES and tracheostomy management
  4. Contributing to a successful move into the New Footscray Hospital later in 2025

Details of the role:

Grade 3

Part time; 0.8 EFT (0.6 EFT will be considered)

Temporary until April 2026 (parental leave backfill)

Based at either Footscray or Sunshine Hospital

To be successful in this role you will bring:

  1. Strong leadership skills, including interpersonal and communication skills
  2. Expertise in complex dysphagia and communication assessment and management within the acute setting
  3. Experience in tracheostomy
  4. Experience in FEES is desired but not essential; opportunities for upskilling are available
  5. Proven ability to lead and supervise staff and students
  6. Commitment to continuous quality improvement and professional development of self and others
