Port Macquarie Race Club Limited
This is an exciting opportunity for interested applicants. Port Macquarie Race Club is a prominent NSW thoroughbred race club located on the Mid North Coast which hosts approximately 20 race meetings per year. The reconstruction of PMRC's Course Proper was finished in September 2024 and now provides a premium all-weather racing surface to meet the current and future needs of PMRC and the surrounding region. For the first time since 2019, PMRC will host the $150,000 Evergreen Turf MCNRA Country Championship Qualifier on Sunday 16 February 2025 with other feature race meetings including the $200,000 Port Macquarie Cup, held annually in October.
About The Organisation Port Macquarie Race Club Limited is a not for profit organisation Incorporated in 1986. The Company is controlled and managed by a Board consisting of 6 Directors elected by members and 4 Independent Directors appointed by Racing NSW.
Selection Criteria People experienced and qualified in law, accounting, business management, commerce, construction, marketing and event management or other key business skills are encouraged to apply.
It is important that Independent Directors are free from any business or other relationship that could materially interfere (or could reasonably be perceived to materially interfere) with the independent exercise of that director's judgment.

- Please detail your thoroughbred industry experience.
- Do you currently hold a bookmaker's licence, Thoroughbred racehorse trainer's licence or any other racing industry licence?
- Please detail your governance experience.
- Please provide an outline of any current appointments or previous experience you may have at Board level.
- Have you ever been convicted in any court of an offence (other than a minor traffic offence)? If so, please state full particulars.
- Have you incurred liabilities in connection with the Racing Industry and not discharged same in full or been declared a "defaulter in bet"?
- Have you ever been dealt with on any charge by a committee or club? If so, please state full particulars.
- Have you ever been declared bankrupt?
