Byford is a rapidly growing suburb that includes a mix of young and established families. Students attending West Byford enjoy state of the art facilities in a fresh, contemporary environment.

West Byford Primary School is currently seeking an enthusiastic and highly motivated Primary Teacher with specialisation in Physical Education (PE) to join our dedicated team. This position offers an exciting opportunity to deliver the Physical Education and Health curriculum across Pre-Primary to Year 6. The successful applicant will work closely with another HPE team member to meet the diverse needs of our large school community, while also being confident in working independently when required.

We are looking for a dynamic individual who is passionate about fostering high-quality teaching and learning experiences in Physical Education, Health, and Wellbeing. The ideal applicant will be energetic, committed, and driven to engage students in physical activities that promote overall health.

Additionally, the successful applicant will be required to build respectful and professional relationships with the Byford Sporting Schools Association-a collaborative network of PE teachers from five local schools.

A key aspect of this role will be the ability to form positive relationships with students, ensuring a supportive and inclusive atmosphere. The successful applicant should be skilled in differentiating instruction to meet the complex needs of all students, providing each child with the opportunity to thrive in physical education activities.

At West Byford Primary, we take pride in our active and engaging culture. Students participate in morning fitness sessions and extracurricular sporting activities. Swimming lessons and competitive sporting carnivals are among the range of sporting opportunities available to our students.

As part of our team, you will contribute to the positive culture of the school while supporting the development of our students through dynamic and supportive teaching practices.

We are committed to an inclusive and culturally responsive workforce reflecting the diversity in our schools and the Western Australian community. We welcome and encourage applications from Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islanders, young people, people of diverse sexualities and genders, people with disability, and people from culturally and linguistically diverse backgrounds.
