About the role and you:
We are seeking an experienced Travel Manager to join our Ballpark Travel team to manage the successful delivery of our internal servicing "Ballpark Travel" agency based in either Melbourne or Brisbane. Unlike traditional travel agencies, your primary focus will not be on sales and commission targets. You will have a well-planned work program that supports and is supported by your colleagues.
The role is for a 12-month maternity position; however, with our fast-paced growing business, there can be further opportunities beyond this maternity position. The role will provide a range of opportunities, with no two days being the same, from managing day-to-day corporate needs to researching amazing locations and creating incredible travel programs for our incentive team.
The ideal candidate will:
- Have a minimum of 2 years of travel agency experience with both domestic and international travel.
- Experience with Sabre or, if familiar with another GDS, be willing to commence training on Sabre to ensure immediate proficiency.
- Experience with PowerSuite or be willing to commence training immediately.
- Exhibit exceptional attention to detail, time management, initiative, and problem-solving skills to provide efficient travel management.
- Possess excellent communication skills and the ability to work in a team with a can-do attitude.
- Be proficient in MS Office.
Additional skills that would benefit the position:
- Previous group and event flight travel management experience.
- Knowledge of group event management technology systems.
- Experience in developing and researching incentive trip concepts.
- Understanding of accounting and financial systems.
- Prior experience dealing with travel vendors.
