  • Casual position located at our Hawthorn, Wantirna and/or Croydon campuses

About the Role
Are you passionate about early childhood and education? We are looking for a dynamic and experienced educator to join our team and deliver high-quality vocational education programs.

As a Casual Teacher - Early Childhood and Education Programs, you will apply industry best practices and innovative teaching methods across a range of vocational courses and collaborate with a team of enthusiastic education professionals to lead and monitor program delivery, assessment, and evaluation. A critical aspect of this role will involve tailoring and adapting programs to meet the unique needs of learners and clients across certificate, diploma, and associate degree levels.

Candidates must have vocational experience in an Early Childhood setting (Early Childhood teaching roles) and/or a Primary/Secondary school setting (Education Support and Diploma of Teacher Education Preparation roles). We are particularly seeking individuals with a passion for integrating current learning technologies and contemporary pedagogical approaches into their teaching practice.

About You
To be suitable for this role you will need to have experience in the below key accountabilities:

  • Demonstrated vocational experience in an Early Childhood setting (Early Childhood teaching roles) and/or a Primary/Secondary school setting (Education Support and Diploma of Teacher Education Preparation roles).
  • Demonstrated ability to implement high quality innovative teaching and learning programs in a variety of learning modes which respond to a diverse range of student and client needs.
  • Demonstrated ability to foster and promote an inclusive, customised and safe learning environment and provide support and advice to a diverse range of students and clients.
  • Demonstrated ability to participate effectively in continuous improvement, audit processes and the maintenance of high-quality training and assessment materials.
  • Demonstrated awareness and understanding of Vocational Education and Training policies and frameworks.
Qualifications
  • Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (TAE40116)
    OR
  • Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (TAE40110) including the following units:
    • TAELLN411 Address adult language, literacy and numeracy skills or its successor, OR
    • TAELLN401A Address adult language, literacy and numeracy skills, AND
    • TAEASS502 Design and develop assessment tools or its successor
      OR
    • TAEASS502A Design and develop assessment tools, OR
    • TAEASS502B Design and develop assessment tools
OR
  • Diploma or higher-level qualification in adult education
  • AQF5 level (or above) qualification in Early Childhood or Education is preferred.
