Job Description

Applications are invited from suitable persons for the full time, contract position of Classroom Teacher to commence on Tuesday April (Term 2). There is the possibility of this position being Permanent/Ongoing.

We are seeking a passionate and dedicated teacher who embraces personalised, contemporary learning within a supportive environment. The ideal candidate will be committed to excellence, lifelong learning, and the values and teachings of the Gospel. The successful applicant must demonstrate a strong dedication to Catholic education and a steadfast commitment to the safety and wellbeing of all children.

Special Requirements

  1. Hold current VIT registration
  2. Accreditation to teach Religious Education in a Catholic school or display a willingness to undertake this qualification
  3. Proof of personal identity and any professional or other qualifications

The successful applicant will:

  1. Be familiar with and comply with the school's Child-safe Policy and Code of Conduct, and any other policies or procedures relating to child safety
  2. Possess the skills and abilities necessary to provide students with a rich and rewarding educational experience and will embrace a collegial, team-based approach to learning and teaching
  3. Have a clear understanding of contemporary learning and teaching practices
  4. Demonstrate an ability to collaborate and actively contribute in a team focused environment with a willingness to be open and responsive to new learning with the ability to use data to drive planning and differentiate learning
  5. Demonstrate the ability to deliver the appropriate curriculum to students with diverse educational, social and emotional needs and abilities
  6. Be able to collate and analyse data and evidence in order to make adjustments and provide care and support for students of all abilities
  7. Respect the ethos of the school and its environment
  8. Demonstrate a passion for innovation (including the use of Technology) and embrace change and new learning with a focus on improvement of self and others and an understanding that we are all lifelong learners
