About the Role:
As a part-time Youth Worker, you'll provide trauma-informed care and support to children and young people in our Out of Home Care program. Your role is to help them heal, grow, and build a brighter future-and no two days are ever the same!
No Experience? No Worries!
We welcome people from all backgrounds-whether you've worked in hospitality, retail, admin, trades, healthcare, education, or something else entirely! If you have the right attitude, a passion for supporting young people, and a willingness to learn, we'll help you:
- Explore government-funded Certificate IV options-so you can study at little to no cost!
- Gain paid, hands-on experience while you learn.
- Receive mentoring and career support to set you up for success.
What You'll Do:
- Provide day-to-day care and support for children and young people.
- Help with personal care, education, social activities, and independent living skills.
- Create a safe, stable, and nurturing home environment.
- Offer trauma-informed and positive behavior support when challenges arise.
- Encourage connections with family, culture, and community.
- Work closely with a supportive team to ensure the best outcomes for young people.
What We're Looking For:
- A genuine passion for supporting children and young people.
- Availability for rotating shifts (mornings, afternoons, weekends & overnights).
- Adaptability, resilience, and problem-solving skills.
- No prior experience required-just a commitment to learning!
What You Need to Get Started:
- A Working with Children Check (or willingness to obtain one).
- An NDIS Workers Screening Check.
- A National Police Check (we'll complete this for successful applicants).
- A valid open driver's license.
- A Certificate IV in Youth Work, Child & Family, or Community Services (or willingness to enroll-we can connect you with government-funded training options!).
